• So far this school year, 126 people have filled out  Hero Cards on behalf of their schools. During the 2005-2006 school year, there were 314 total Hero Donations.  Can you beat last year's total?

There’s still time to share your great ideas!!! The creative recruitment ideas contest has been extended! You still have a chance to win a $50 VISA gift card.
Do you have a unique idea to recruit blood donors? Has your school done something creative to encourage students to sign up and save a life? Let us know by emailing schoolbloodprogram@bbd.org.  Winning ideas will be announced in next month's Blood Drop.

Be a Sweetheart. Give Blood.

This Valentine's Day, you can do something Sweet...Give Blood! Encourage your friends and family members to give blood this February. Every day across Delmarva, 350 blood donors are needed to help ensure an adequate community blood supply. By rolling up their sleeves to give lifesaving blood, they are giving the sweetest gift of all!

When you donate, be sure to fill out a Hero Card to count towards your school's total donations! To schedule an appointment, call 1-888-8-BLOOD-8.
