Dedicated to Andrew
The Blood Bank of Delmarva is dedicating the 2007-2008 school year to the memory of Andrew McDonough and young people like him. Andrew, a bright, brave, curly-haired 14-year-old Salesianum student, lost his 6-month battle with leukemia and related infections this past July. During that time, Andrew received multiple blood and platelet transfusions. The "B+" motto that the McDonough family adopted is something we can all embrace as we promote the message that blood donation helps people. To learn more about Andrew and the Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation, please visit www.livelikeandrew.org
Have you set a date to save lives? Time is running out...
It's not too late to schedule your blood drive for the 2007-2008 school year...but dates are going fast! Dates are still available January through May 2008. Please contact Lauren Bacon ASAP to set your school on the calendar! Try to avoid days when there are sporting events, class trips or anything else that may cause a conflict.
